Depending on product weights and international standards, the product goes through shocks of different weights and speeds and from different directions. The simulator records the shocks in wave charts for further analysis to find out every last possible weakness.
Twist Test
Simulates how the consumer handles the laptop computer and the bending and warp age that will occur during normal usage. As some users might use a single hand to handle the LCD screen or the laptop chassis - causing the laptop computer to bend, this experiment attempts to recreate the distortion endured by the laptop computer.

A slew of ASUS laptops-including the U5, S6 (both the leather and bamboo editions), W7 and U1-were chosen to accompany a team of mountaineers. Upon reaching the base camp at an elevation of 5,000m, only ASUS laptops continued to operate. Other laptops failed to boot up due to the extremely low ambient temperature. The ASUS U5 even made it to the top of Qomolangma Peak at a staggering height of 8,848.43m, thanks to expedition leader Captain Wang Yongfong for making ASUS laptops the world’s first to reach the top of Mount Everest.
