Research In Motion (RIM) recently release statement that they would release new Blackberry cell phone Storm 2. The Blackberry cell phone Storm 2 is prepared to launch in Wednesday, October 28 2009.
Like previous model, the BlackBerry cell phone Storm 2 will feature a touch screen. The display features a 3.25-inch capacitive touch screen display (480×360 pixels resolution), which provides electronic feedback instead of the “clickable” screen found on the previous model. RIM hopes to fix the mistakes from previous model which was at the center of many customer complaints. It also features multi-touch support, allowing users to click two keys (like shift plus a letter) on the virtual keyboard at the same time.
In multimedia features, the BlackBerry cell phone Storm 2 features a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, video recording, image stabilization technology and geo-tag photos using the built-in GPS chip. The Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) alongside EV-DO Revision A connectivity and overseas 3G data (via SIM card), Bluetooth (v2.1) and a built-in GPS for maps and other location-based apps feature also add on to this new series.
The BlackBerry cell phone Storm 2 will runs BlackBerry OS 5.0 which according to Verizon the operating system software will improve the device’s typing selection accuracy and more use of animations. It also comes with 18GB of storage which 2GB built-in and 16GB via the memory card included (microSD/SDHD).
The Storm 2 is still a BlackBerry cell phone, which means it can integrate well into corporate Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange and Novell GroupWise setups. The users can download new applications from the BlackBerry App World and push e-mail from personal accounts such as G-mail, Yahoo Mail, and other Web-based providers.
The BlackBerry cell phone Storm 2 will go on sale on Wednesday, October 28 for $280 in two-year service contract with Verizon Wireless. Verizon is offering a $100 mail-in rebate, which cut the price down to $180, but that rebate comes in the form of a Visa debit card. Data plans for the BlackBerry Storm2 begin at $29.99 when added to any Verizon nationwide voice plan. RIM has also included Verizon’s VZ Navigator service, which adds voice-guided directions, but costs an additional $9.99 per month.
The phone features a removable and rechargeable 1,400 mAh battery that provides that, according to Verizon Wireless, will offer up to 5.5 hours of talk time or up to 11 days of standby time.

I must say that BB provide high quality products and excellent reputation to keep its large market. I loved this phone. I guess there’s a certain amount of text they have to fit in and the characters need to be large enough to be suitably visible. And the blackberry strom 2 will be one of the latest BB phones launched from the house of this Finnish giant to show its technical might over others.
