What is Compaq Laptop ?

When you are looking for a laptop you maybe heard about Compaq Laptop and maybe also asking what is the relationship with HP ( Hewlett Packard).
History
Compaq previously was an American personal compter company founded in 1982 by Rod Canion, Jim Harris and Bill Murto - former Texas Instruments senior managers. The name “COMPAQ” was derived from “Compatibility and Quality”, as at its formation Compaq produced some of the first IBM PC compatible computers.
Compaq Computer Corporation is a global provider of enterprise technology and solutions. Compaq designs, develops, manufactures and markets hardware, software, solutions and services, including industry-leading enterprise storage and computing solutions, fault-tolerant business-critical solutions, communication products, and desktop and laptop computers.
In 2001, Compaq engaged in a merger with Hewlett-Packard ( HP ) a leading global provider of computing and imaging solutions and services — is focused on making technology and its benefits accessible to all. The new combined company will offer the industry’s most complete set in servers, access devices (PCs and hand-helds) and imaging and printing, as well as leading revenue positions in IT services, storage and management software.
Presario
Presario is a series of desktop and laptops from Compaq. The Presario was launched for the consumer marketplace in September 1993. Although HP has since acquired Compaq, the Presario brand is still being produced. Both the Desktops and Laptops are noted by consumers to be a very good value for money, as well as suiting their needs. In the mid-1990s, Compaq also began manufacturing PC monitors as part of the Presario brand.

Conclusion
Compaq laptop is a second line product from a leading brand of HP, it means you also can have every excellence service and quality from HP. The advantage is you can buy in lower price which is equal with the specs. Compaq laptop will give all the global reputation and great function in a reasonable price tag.
