Has the mobile phone taken over out lives?

Reviewed by Bram P

mobile-phoneA recent poll has show that British people are not addicted to drugs, women and other such things but their mobile phones. Research has actually shown that a large portion of the nation a huge 88% of us will not leave the house without their mobile phone. This just goes to show that without things like mobile phones in their pockets people would be lost. What this also means is that 53,658,000 phones are carried around in bags and pockets in the streets of the UK every single day. It is a fact that Britain as a whole sends over 1 Billion texts a week which actually puts us up into the top 6 for text sending in the world which is silly if you consider how small Britain is.
The poll went on to say that over anything else a mobile is the one thing we will always take with us even over a wallet or purse. Funnily enough the midlands saw the best/worst result depending on how you look at things with a massive 98% of people saying they carried it with them every single day.
The most prominent question to ask is why? The answer really is quite simple. The amount of things a mobile phone can now do is astronomical ranging from a simple text or call to checking the bank details online or even getting insurance quotes. As the years progress the mobile phone is becoming more and more advanced with some including MP3 within the phone itself as well as things like video calling and voice recognition! As well as this you can now watch television as well as your favourite film all from the touch of a button on the phone as well as look at quotes from different car insurance firms!

Of course it does mean that muggings have risen simply because there are more phones out there to take as well as the question are we becoming far too dependent on technology? It was certainly not like thirty years ago and it seems that as the generations go on we are becoming lazier and lazier.
If technology is your thing then why not look for gadget insurance to make sure your favourite new gadget is protected against anything and everything!
