There are good free options of antivirus available from minor brand and unfortunately the nervous consumers figure that they are better of buying major brands. Today Microsoft Corp has released Microsoft Security Essentials. This Microsoft antivirus is free download software and available at Microsoft.com.
This Microsoft antivirus is the successor to the Windows Live OneCare which never gained traction, a $49.95 computer protection suite that included identity theft protection, a firewall program, and a file backup utility along with the malware detector.
