Sony Vaio Laptops for Recall
posted by: BP
Sony and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have announced a recall of 535,000 Sony Vaio laptops worldwide and 259,000 laptops in the U.S. It’s reporting that the heat management system in the BIOS of affected Sony Vaio laptops is not functioning properly and can cause the system to run hot and will cause system damage, and could potentially cause injury.
Sony corp. has received nearly 40 reported cases of Sony Vaio laptops overheating to the point that the casing becomes deformed. While there are no reports of fires or burns caused by the overheating issue, Sony warns that it is a possibility.
