The First Acer’s Touchscreen Laptop is Coming Up

Acer America, part of Acer’s Inc, one of the largest computer company is preparing to launch its new Acer Aspire 5738PG touchscreen laptop - the company’s first laptop with multi-touch screen capabilities. This touchscreen laptop has been design to provide users with a new way to interact with the PC’s applications and multimedia capabilities.
Acer Aspire 5738PG touchscreen laptop will be release in the US on 22 October, the same day Microsoft releases Windows 7 Operating System. The laptop will come preloaded with Windows 7, which has native touchscreen support.
“Customers will experience an incredible level of flexibility and control in the multi-touch screen interface, as it frees them to interact with their digital world in a way that is familiar yet also new and exciting,” said Ray Sawall, senior manager of product marketing for Acer America. “The Acer Aspire 5738PG’s multi-touch experience takes advantage of the many new capabilities in Windows 7 and provides incredibly powerful first-rate technology such as ATI Radeon graphics and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.”
The touchscreen features will let users to touch the screen using one or two fingertips to play movies, zoom in and out on website, edit photos and video, handwrite notes, resize windows, launch entertainment applications and use gestures like pinch, flip and swirl to zoom, navigate and browse.
Beside the touchscreen feature, the Acer Aspire 5738PG combines first-rate technologies that deliver excellent performance for mobile theatre entertainment and mainstream games.
The display was designed to provide an extraordinary cinematic experience with 15.6-Inch HD display 16:9 LED-backlit. 
In addition the high-definition ATI Radeon HD 4570 Graphics with 512MB Dedicated DDR3 VRAM enhances imagery with vivid colour and crisp detail and supported with Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement with built-in speakers and 5.1-channel surround sound.
Under the hood, the new Aspire AS5738PG touchscreen laptop powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor, clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with 4GB of DDR2 dual-channel memory. The system is also featured with a 320GB SATA hard drive, 8X DVD-Super Multi Double-Layer Drive, HDMI Port and Four USB 2.0 Ports and Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 5100 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N Wi-Fi CERTIFIEDTM Network Connection.
The new Aspire AS5738PG touchscreen laptop will be available in Acer’s popular Gemstone Blue colour and the starting price tag of US$799.99.
